SUBS Annotation Edit -> Davinci Resolve
- Update:231021
1) Export:
– 1a) – VTT
or
-1b) -Export as “SubRip SRT”
– Sanitize the srt (eg w/ SublimeEdit) removing {\an2} and any other tags within curly braces.
2) Import to Davinci, spot to track.
3) In Resolve: Project Settings : Subtitles : Subtitles Setup : Max Characters per line – CHANGE TO >2x of the Annotation max line width. This setting in Davinci is actually misinterpreting the line breaks and will force some 2 line cards to spill to 3 lines.
4) Subtitle track settings – CENTER, REGULAR FONT
All italics and special marks such as ♪ should be preserved.
If rendering separate Subtitle as separate media, choose ProRes 422HQ or > with “Alpha enabled”
